ERIN WASSON x RVCA TO SHOW AT BRANT PARK, SEPT. 11, 8:00 PM

Erin Wasson has been modeling in the industry for a while now, hanging around the likes of designer Alexander Wang, and even styling his shows. Miss Wasson is getting great mileage out of her modeling career, at 27 she still lands major editorials and runway shows. She is no where near old, but in modeling years most nearly-thirty models are replaced with 14 year old fresh faces.

She is doing what any smart aging supermodel would do these days, dipping her toes into her new career so that when the modeling job stops bringing in the cash, she’ll have her back-up plan, as Designer and Stylist. Her hip personal style still keeps her young and interesting, and with nearly a decade worth of experience as a model she has probably learned a lot about the fashion industry.

The Spring/Summer 2010 Collection will be the Erin Wasson x RVCA debut on the runway. According to Wasson, the show will kick off with a musical guest. Wonder who it could be?

BEST OF 2010 COUTURE: GIVENCHY

Ricardo Tisci’s Couture Collection this season was mind blowing. His love for layering jewelry carried over from the Ready-To-Wear shows and resurfaced in his couture show this season. The models on the runway seemed like princesses from the Eastern world adorned in enough necklaces to suggest they were also warriors of some sort; their jewelry doubling as their armor. Nude bangles cascaded up their arms and sharp gold metals hung from the beautiful coats and drapery. Even their faces covered in gold, and their heads covered in cloth. The beauty and power in this collection is undeniable. It is shows like these that make me fall in love with fashion every season.
